About
Us
The New Jersey Citizens' Coalition for Cures (NJCCC) is dedicated to educating the public about the importance and potential benefits of increased public funding for biomedical research, promoting New Jersey as a leader in biomedical research, and advocating the increased public funding of biomedical research, including both embryonic and adult stem cell research, in New Jersey. Who We Are
NJCCC is a statewide not-for-profit organization. The grassroots
coalition is comprised of patient advocacy organizations, researchers
and scientists, academic research institutions, faith organizations,
businesses, and individual New Jerseyans committed to advancing
the search for cures and treatments for life-threatening diseases
and debilitating chronic conditions.
Our Vision
We see New Jersey as the state that leads the country in biomedical research. We see an educated citizenry that understands,
supports and encourages the state in this role. We see tens of
thousands of New Jerseyans, as well as people around the world,
who will someday be cured and treated for life-threatening and
debilitating diseases. We see a vibrant economy with thousands
of jobs created by New Jersey's leading-edge research industry.
Our Goals
NJCCC supports increased public funding of research in New Jersey, which includes support for a 2005 ballot question authorizing bonding for stem cell research in New Jersey. When specific legislation is introduced, NJCCC will determine whether or not it will support the legislation as introduced.
Our Agenda
NJCCC is mobilizing citizens to make their support for increased
public funding of stem cell research in New Jersey known to their
families and friends, elected officials, neighbors and colleagues
at work.
